Where has the time gone???

Wow, I didn't realize it has been almost a year since I have posted anything to my blog.  It was not intentional, it was one of the things that had to fall by the wayside as other higher priority projects took it's place.  Looking back, I am amazed at how much I managed to cram into each week and almost keep my sanity! I would highly recommend NOT trying to take an online university course which has a heavy load as far as reading requirements while trying to teach Church classes weekly.  If you work full time, I would suggest adding one or the other, but not both, since it means you may have to cut back on time spent with your family and always being so busy that you are torn between spending time with them and doing your 'work'.  Life is too short to just cram it so full of obligations that you don't have/can't make the time to spend with your loved ones.  Looking back, I can see how I short changed not only my family, but myself, in placing them second to what I thought was the right priority at the time.  It wasn't and I do regret that I allowed myself to become so dedicated to my volunteer activities that I couldn't keep track of my schedule well enough to plan for special events like the party after my granddaughter's baptism.  I had to miss her party because I forgot to cancel the class I was teaching, which is something I can't get back.  I have since stepped back from a lot of my activities so that I can have my much needed down time and hopefully regain my perspective on what is most important.  Not that my volunteer work wasn't important and very enjoyable, it just got a much higher priority than it needed to.  While I still need to finish the second half of my university course, I am now getting to enjoy time spent with my older granddaughter {16 months},her newborn sister {10 days old}, my daughter, and son-in-law.  Now that some parts of my life are slowing down, I am hoping to get a little more time in my neglected craft room and can stop and smell the roses along the way.  Maybe I'll even be posting to my blog more regularly.  Who knows what my future holds?!?
